Golden Horse Feeds
The first step is the importance of the main ingredients: lucerne and meadow hay. Our growers are fastidious about providing a high-grade product to us.
Experience has taught us, if you don't have a good basic ingredient then no amount of alterations during the production process will improve the final product beyond aesthetics. As we know, the horse is the final consumer.
With this in mind, we have taken the original cutting mechanism used more than 100 years ago and are currently using it as a more modern sister. As with horses, the machines are great teachers.

The business started as a small operation, using a very old chaffing machine - our "Gracie" is approaching her 108th birthday - which taught us the importance of maintaining the integrity and freshness of our chaff.
